Description:
A reputable client in the building materials retail sector is seeking an experienced and results-driven Purchase Manager to lead procurement operations in Dubai. The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge of the UAE building materials market along with strong negotiation and supplier management expertise. This is a key role responsible for ensuring efficient sourcing strategies, cost control, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee end-to-end procurement activities for building materials within a retail environment
• Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to ensure cost efficiency and quality standards
• Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships to maintain a reliable supply chain
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with vendors to achieve the best value for the organization
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely replenishment
• Utilize ERP systems to manage procurement processes, track orders, and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with finance and operations teams to align purchasing with budget requirements
• Analyze market trends and supplier performance to support strategic decision-making
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline
• 8–10 years of hands-on procurement experience in the building materials trading or retail sector within the UAE
• Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Malayalam or Tamil is highly preferred
