Purchase Executive

Role Overview

The Purchase Executive manages international sourcing and purchasing for a perfume and cosmetics manufacturer in Dubai, from finding suppliers and agreeing commercial terms to tracking orders through delivery. The role helps keep production supplied with ingredients, packaging, and other materials while balancing cost, quality, and delivery requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and assess local and overseas suppliers, compare quotations, negotiate terms, and raise purchase orders.
• Purchase fragrance oils, perfume ingredients, cosmetic raw materials, bottles, caps, pumps, cartons, and other manufacturing supplies.
• Track orders with suppliers and coordinate freight, shipments, import documentation, and customs clearance.
• Work with Finance, Warehouse, Production, and Quality Control to align purchasing with production needs and material availability.
• Review supplier performance, including pricing, delivery reliability, and adherence to quality requirements.
• Maintain clear, accurate purchasing and import records in the relevant systems.
• Identify practical opportunities to control procurement costs and improve purchasing processes.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• International purchasing experience is essential.
• Experience in perfume, fragrance, cosmetics, or personal care manufacturing is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of overseas supplier management, international shipping, import procedures, and customs clearance.
• Experience sourcing fragrance ingredients, cosmetic raw materials, or packaging components is an advantage.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, and supplier relationship skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems; SAP experience is beneficial.
