Role Overview
This position anchors delivery for a portfolio of high-impact digital transformation efforts inside a dedicated business tribe. You will guide multiple Scrum teams through the full delivery cycle—from shaping initial concepts to releasing production-ready capabilities—while keeping schedules, budgets, and quality targets intact. Your daily work matters because it directly determines how quickly the organisation can modernise its platforms and turn strategic bets into measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the complete delivery lifecycle for assigned transformation initiatives, translating tribal strategy into executable roadmaps and well-defined project plans.
- Balance scope, cost, time, quality, and team capacity, making trade-off decisions explicit and re-forecasting whenever realities shift.
- Coordinate multiple cross-functional squads—Product Owners, engineers, QA, architects, and business analysts—to remove friction and keep work moving across dependency boundaries.
- Support Agile rituals and release trains by facilitating sprint planning, managing release calendars, and promoting retro-driven improvements across teams.
- Act as the primary escalation point for risks, blockers, and inter-team conflicts; drive mitigation steps and ensure decisions reach the right governance forum quickly.
- Track vendor deliverables, financial consumption, and resource utilisation, intervening early when performance or spend drifts from plan.
- Keep documentation, status reporting, and delivery metrics current, giving executive sponsors clear visibility into progress, decisions, and outcomes.
- Champion a disciplined yet pragmatic delivery culture, embedding governance, security, and regulatory checkpoints without smothering team autonomy.
Requirements & Qualifications
- At least 7 years of project or product delivery experience inside Agile environments, with a proven record of running complex technology programmes involving multiple scrum teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Active PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner certification, supported by an Agile project management credential.
- Hands-on Scrum Master or Scrum fundamentals certification, showing practical fluency in sprint mechanics and team facilitation.
- Deep working knowledge of Scrum and Kanban, plus the ability to blend those practices with product management principles such as outcome-based prioritisation and iterative discovery.
- Demonstrated experience applying design thinking methods to shape solutions and user stories before they reach the development backlog.
- Track record of creating and refining user stories, grooming product backlogs, and helping teams sequence work based on value and dependency.
- Strong stakeholder communication and negotiation skills, with the ease to brief executives, challenge vendors, and align distributed teams.
- Practical proficiency with Azure DevOps, Jira, and Figma—or equivalent tools—for backlog management, workflow tracking, and UX prototyping collaboration.
- Ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into technical tasks and acceptance criteria that developers and QA can execute without further clarification.
