Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and target-driven Procurement Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will manage end-to-end procurement activities, including supplier sourcing, negotiation, purchasing execution, cost control, and inventory coordination. This role is critical to ensuring operational efficiency and quality while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Sourcing and Supplier Management: Identify, vet, and maintain relationships with reliable vendors. Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to achieve optimal value.
- Procurement Execution: Review purchase requests, prepare accurate purchase orders, and ensure all purchased goods and services meet required quality and technical standards.
- Cost and Budget Management: Monitor and control expenses, drive cost efficiency without compromising operational quality, and report on budget adherence.
- Risk and Compliance: Enforce internal purchasing policies and mitigate supply chain disruptions through continuous supplier performance evaluation.
- Inventory Coordination: Monitor inventory levels, reconcile order discrepancies, and ensure timely delivery of supplies to support business needs.
- Communication and IT Skills: Handle emails and phone calls with professional effectiveness. Demonstrate proficient use of MS Office and internet tools.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of procurement or supply chain experience in the UAE.
- Target-driven with a positive sales attitude and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written); Arabic is an advantage.
