Role Overview
Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to lead and manage the end-to-end procurement function. The role ensures cost-effective, compliant, and strategic sourcing of goods and services, drives supplier performance, and supports operational and financial efficiency across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational objectives
- Manage the full procurement lifecycle, including requisitions, purchase orders, tenders, and contract administration
- Evaluate and select suppliers, negotiate terms, and monitor performance to ensure value for money and timely delivery
- Maintain accurate procurement records, ensure compliance with regulations, and support audit readiness
- Collaborate with Finance, Accounts, and operational teams to align procurement with budget and operational requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
- Professional certification in Procurement (CIPS, KISM) is highly desirable
- Minimum 4–5 years’ relevant procurement experience, preferably within a manufacturing setup
- Proven knowledge of procurement processes, tendering, supplier management, and contract administration
- Strong ERP and procurement software skills, with excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities
- Strategic thinker with high attention to detail and the ability to drive process improvements
