Job Description

Role Overview

This role operates within the bank's procurement function, managing the full purchasing cycle from sourcing and negotiation through to contract administration and supplier performance. You will work closely with internal departments to acquire essential goods and services, including facility maintenance, security, courier logistics, and office operations, while ensuring every transaction delivers value and adheres to the bank's governance standards. Your work directly influences cost efficiency, operational continuity, and regulatory compliance across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and issue RFQs and RFPs, analyse supplier quotations, negotiate pricing and terms, and track approvals and delivery timelines for all procurement requests.
  • Handle supplier onboarding and prequalification, conduct due diligence reviews, monitor vendor performance against SLAs, and recommend contract renewals or terminations based on objective data.
  • Maintain the contract and lease database, proactively flagging upcoming expiries, documenting amendments, and ensuring accurate tracking of property and equipment leases.
  • Oversee day-to-day service delivery from security, cleaning, courier, and water supply providers, resolving service gaps and coordinating remedial actions as needed.
  • Coordinate asset disposal, staff relocations, and transport logistics, ensuring assets are removed, moved, or transferred in a controlled and well-documented manner.
  • Support insurance administration by keeping policy and claims records updated, assisting with claim submissions, and following up on outstanding claims with insurers.
  • Compile spend reports, facilitate internal and external audits, and monitor procurement activities for compliance with the bank's policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to budgeting, benchmarking, and procurement governance reviews, helping to refine sourcing strategies and improve overall spend efficiency.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in procurement, supply chain, business administration, commerce, finance, or a closely related field.
  • Professional certification such as CPSP(K), CIPS, or KISM is highly desirable.
  • 1–3 years of relevant procurement experience, ideally within a bank, financial institution, or similarly regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and sourcing skills with a practical understanding of supplier markets for facility and support services.
  • Solid contract management capability, including reviewing terms, tracking renewals, and enforcing service level agreements.
  • Strong spend analysis skills with the ability to identify trends, outliers, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable interacting with vendors, colleagues, and senior management.
  • High levels of integrity, teamwork, and adaptability, with a systematic approach to problem-solving and a commitment to compliance.
