Painter

Role Overview

As a Painter, you’ll prepare and finish a range of surfaces, including walls, ceilings, doors, and furniture. Your work will help keep the property well-maintained and presentable, while careful repairs and clean finishes reduce the need for repeat touch-ups.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean, sand, scrape, and fill surfaces to create a sound base for painting.
• Apply primers, paints, varnishes, and other finishes using suitable techniques for each surface.
• Match colours and check completed work for even coverage and a tidy finish.
• Use, clean, and store painting tools, equipment, and materials safely.
• Keep work areas orderly and follow safety procedures when handling paint and chemicals.
• Spot surface damage or areas requiring further work, and report them to the supervisor.
• Carry out touch-ups and repairs as needed to maintain the quality of finished areas.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Painter.
• Sound knowledge of surface preparation and paint application methods.
• Careful attention to detail and the ability to deliver a high standard of finish.
• Good time-management skills and a reliable, flexible approach to work.
• Availability to work on a reliever basis as required.
• Experience in hospitality or commercial property maintenance is an advantage.
