Job Description

Role Overview

Your daily focus is to uncover the needs of doctors and other prescribers, deliver value beyond product promotion, and ultimately translate strong relationships into measurable sales growth for the company’s portfolio. By combining strategic territory planning with genuine, ethical customer engagement, you will directly influence patient access to important therapies and support the company’s reputation as a collaborative partner in healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review territory-level data to pinpoint high-potential prescribers and prioritize outreach activities that align with sales objectives.
  • Initiate and nourish meaningful dialogue with healthcare professionals through both face-to-face visits and virtual meetings, focusing on their clinical challenges and professional priorities.
  • Construct tailored engagement strategies for key accounts, adapting content and delivery format to reflect each customer’s preferences and feedback.
  • Forge durable partnerships with local opinion leaders and influential clinicians, encouraging shifts in prescribing behavior that improve patient access and outcomes.
  • Capture and distill market intelligence on customer needs, competitive activity, and prescribing patterns, funneling these insights to internal teams to shape campaign planning and content development.
  • Work alongside medical, marketing, and other cross-functional colleagues to launch initiatives that resolve real-world gaps in customer and patient care, while staying fully compliant with all regulations.
  • Maintain rigorous adherence to internal policies and industry codes, promptly reporting any technical complaints or adverse events involving the company’s products within the required 24-hour window.
  • Oversee the sampling process when applicable, ensuring products are distributed appropriately and all documentation is completed accurately and on time.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, life sciences, or another relevant scientific or business discipline.
  • At least five years of direct experience in pharmaceutical or medical sales, with a clear record of delivering against assigned targets.
  • Solid understanding of the pharmaceutical landscape, including evolving market dynamics, compliance standards, and the distinct needs of prescribers.
  • Prior exposure to the cardiovascular therapeutic area is considered a valuable asset.
  • Demonstrated autonomy, persistence, and an achievement-focused attitude, combined with strong service orientation toward customers.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex customer situations, engage in persuasive yet ethical dialogue, and negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • Competence in coordinating efforts across functions and managing multiple stakeholder relationships simultaneously.
