Role Overview
This position is embedded within a Nestlé factory environment, where the primary mission is to embed World-Class Manufacturing principles into daily operations. You will act as an internal driver of the Nestlé Continuous Excellence framework, translating global strategic priorities into concrete, measurable actions that teams across the plant can execute and sustain. Day to day, you will coach shift and area teams, diagnose performance gaps, and run structured improvement projects that raise overall equipment effectiveness, reduce waste, and build a culture of problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the local deployment of NCE (Nestlé Continuous Excellence) tools and standards, ensuring every department aligns with the factory’s manufacturing excellence roadmap.
- Convert market and supply-chain priorities into clear, actionable objectives for production teams, then track progress through regular performance reviews.
- Coach operators, team leaders, and middle managers on lean methodologies, root-cause analysis, and standardised work to build lasting capability inside the plant.
- Identify and execute continuous improvement projects, scoping opportunities, securing stakeholder buy-in, and monitoring results to verify tangible gains.
- Support factory-level reporting by maintaining performance dashboards and digital tools that make key data visible, accurate, and useful for decision-making.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops and best-practice sharing sessions between production, engineering, quality, and logistics teams to break down silos.
- Audit existing processes to detect losses or deviations from standard, then coordinate corrective actions with area owners.
- Prepare improvement plans linked to factory targets and present progress updates to plant leadership on a routine cadence.
Requirements & Qualifications
- At least two years of hands-on experience working inside a factory, preferably in manufacturing, production, or operational excellence support.
- Demonstrated familiarity with continuous improvement systems such as lean manufacturing, TPM, six sigma, or comparable corporate excellence frameworks.
- Strong coaching ability — you should be comfortable guiding people at different levels without direct authority, using influence and facilitation rather than command.
- Problem-solving capability grounded in data: you can analyse performance metrics, identify root causes, and structure countermeasures.
- Effective stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to challenge current ways of working and build alignment across shifts and departments.
- Basic proficiency with digital productivity tools and manufacturing reporting systems; a willingness to support factory digitalisation initiatives is essential.
- Formal education is not a fixed prerequisite; equivalent factory-floor experience combined with a track record of delivering improvements will be considered.
