Role Overview
This position sits at the heart of our events business, acting as the bridge between our clients and the teams that bring their visions to life. Day to day, you will be cultivating lasting relationships with corporate clients, spotting fresh opportunities for conferences, launches, and activations, and shepherding each project from first conversation to final debrief. Your work matters because every event we deliver is a reflection of how well we listen, plan, and execute—and your ability to turn client goals into tangible, successful experiences directly fuels our growth and reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and nurture trusted partnerships with corporate clients, brands, and partner organizations, becoming their go-to contact for event needs.
- Proactively identify and chase new business opportunities across conferences, corporate events, product launches, exhibitions, and brand activations.
- Manage a portfolio of existing accounts, uncovering paths to repeat business and cross-selling additional event services where they genuinely add value.
- Translate client objectives into coherent event concepts and practical solutions, shaping ideas that align with their brand and budget.
- Draft compelling proposals, quotations, pitch decks, and RFP responses that clearly articulate our approach and stand out from competitors.
- Collaborate closely with creative, production, and operations colleagues to ensure every client requirement is fully understood and delivered without friction.
- Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the planning and execution lifecycle, keeping communication clear, proactive, and purposeful.
- Lead client presentations and negotiations, protecting project margins while maintaining strong, respectful relationships.
- Track event budgets, timelines, and deliverables, flagging risks early and ensuring commitments are met.
- Stay present during live events to support clients on-site, troubleshoot issues in real time, and maintain confidence in our delivery.
- Conduct structured post-event reviews, gather honest feedback, and convert lessons learned into actionable improvements and future opportunities.
- Monitor your sales pipeline and account performance, preparing accurate reports that show revenue trends, client health, and growth potential.
- Keep a finger on the pulse of industry trends, competitor moves, and emerging niches to stay ahead of market shifts.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years in account management, sales, business development, or a comparable client-facing role—with a demonstrable record of growing accounts.
- Prior experience in event management, event production, advertising, marketing, or media is a strong plus, as it shortens the learning curve for our workflows.
- Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint for pitches and Excel for budget and pipeline tracking.
- Proven ability to manage multiple clients and competing deadlines without letting service quality slip.
- Strong commercial acumen, backed by sharp negotiation, presentation, and persuasion skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the judgment to tailor messages for different stakeholders.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, often unpredictable event environment.
- Collaborative mindset—ready to support teammates, handle pressure gracefully, and stay calm when plans change at the last minute.
- Creativity and a solutions-oriented approach, able to think on your feet and propose practical fixes when obstacles arise.
