Role Overview
Teach junior school learners across the listed subject areas, planning lessons that make concepts accessible and encourage active participation. The role calls for a flexible, child-friendly approach, with digital literacy used to support effective classroom learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver lessons in Mathematics, Science, Agriculture, Kiswahili, Creative Arts, English and Social Studies, according to the subjects assigned.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit learners’ needs and make classroom activities engaging and age-appropriate.
- Use digital tools and resources to support instruction and learners’ development of digital literacy.
- Guide learners through classwork, activities and assessments, and monitor their progress.
- Maintain a supportive classroom environment that encourages participation and positive learning habits.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma in Primary Teacher Education (DPTE) or a degree in Education.
- Valid Teachers Service Commission (TSC) certificate.
- At least two years of experience teaching junior school.
- Competence in digital literacy and an agile, child-friendly teaching approach.
- Applicants aged 35 or younger are preferred.
