Role Overview
This Junior Accountant position supports the daily financial operations of a fast-expanding trading company in Dubai. You will maintain accurate records of transactions, assist with accounts payable and receivable, and prepare reconciliations that keep the finance team running smoothly. Your work ensures management has reliable data for decision-making as the business scales.
Key Responsibilities
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and update the general ledger
- Assist in processing invoices, expense reports, and payment runs
- Reconcile bank statements and vendor accounts on a monthly basis
- Support preparation of trial balances and basic financial reports
- Maintain organized filing of receipts, contracts, and supporting documents
- Liaise with external auditors during quarterly and annual reviews
- Monitor petty cash and ensure compliance with company expense policies
- Help with VAT return preparation and submission when required
Requirements & Qualifications
- 0–2 years of hands-on accounting experience, internships or entry-level roles accepted
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field
- Working knowledge of MS Excel (vlookups, pivot tables) is essential
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or Zoho Books) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is not required
