Description:

FAM Advisory is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join its team in Dubai. This full-time, onsite opportunity involves supporting a key client operating within the manufacturing, contracting, and elevator industry. The ideal candidate will have a solid accounting foundation, enjoy working with financial data, and be eager to develop professionally in a fast-paced business environment.

This role offers the chance to gain valuable experience across various accounting functions, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, financial reporting, inventory accounting, and VAT compliance. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting and bookkeeping activities.

• Process invoices, receipts, payments, and journal entries accurately.

• Maintain organized financial records using Odoo ERP.

• Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions.

• Perform bank, customer, supplier, and general ledger reconciliations.

• Support inventory accounting and stock reconciliation activities.

• Prepare monthly closing schedules and assist with financial reporting.

• Assist with VAT documentation and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

• Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal departments.

• Support audit preparation by maintaining accurate financial records.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Hands-on experience with Odoo ERP is preferred.

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

• Knowledge of inventory accounting and stock management.

• Familiarity with UAE accounting practices and VAT documentation.

• Experience using accounting software such as Odoo, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.

• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.

• Strong knowledge of:

• Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP)

• Financial reporting, reconciliations, and bookkeeping

• ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and UAE VAT compliance

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

• Quick learner with a proactive approach to work.

• Comfortable handling large volumes of financial data.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Motivated to grow into a senior accounting position.

• Previous experience in manufacturing, engineering, contracting, trading, technical services, or inventory-driven businesses will be an advantage.
