Minimum Requirements (Likely)

Applicants should:

  • Hold relevant academic qualifications (Bachelor’s or Master’s in ICT, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related fields).

  • Have prior experience in systems administration, IT infrastructure, auditing, customer service, or network engineering depending on the role.

  • Demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Be familiar with cross‑border trade facilitation, ICT systems, and government service delivery frameworks.

  • Show professionalism, integrity, and alignment with KenTrade’s mission of managing the Kenya National Electronic Single Window System (KNESWS) to reduce delays and costs in international trade.

Role‑specific expectations:

  • Senior Internal Auditor – IS: Conduct IT audits, ensure compliance, and strengthen system controls.

  • System Administrator / Infrastructure Engineer / Network Engineer: Manage ICT systems, infrastructure, and network operations.

  • Customer Service Officer / Assistants: Handle client inquiries, support trade facilitation processes, and ensure efficient service delivery.

  • Contact Centre Assistants: Provide frontline support, manage calls, and resolve client issues.

  • Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal investigations (CID)
  • Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
  • Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
  • Clearance form from the Ethics & Anti-corruption Authority (EACC)
  • Clearance certificate from a recognized Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
