Role Overview
This position puts a hands-on technology leader in charge of the company's entire IT ecosystem, from strategic direction down to day-to-day system health. You will ensure that sales, inventory, finance, and back-office operations run on dependable and secure platforms, while also identifying where new technology can save time or create competitive advantage. Since the company relies on connected business systems for core daily activity, your ability to balance stability with continuous improvement is essential to its success.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the IT direction and phased roadmap, making sure every technology decision aligns with business priorities and anticipated growth.
- Own the administration, configuration, and performance of ERP, CRM, sales, inventory, and other core business applications across departments.
- Manage the full IT infrastructure environment, including networks, servers, cloud services, hardware, and support operations, while minimizing downtime.
- Protect organisational data by enforcing security policies, access rights, backup routines, encryption practices, and tested disaster recovery procedures.
- Create and maintain clear IT policies, standard operating procedures, and internal controls that keep daily operations consistent and auditable.
- Select and oversee external technology partners, negotiate service contracts, and manage software licensing to balance cost, quality, and compliance.
- Lead system enhancements, automation initiatives, and technology rollout projects from requirements and budgeting through testing and user training.
- Track system performance, security risks, and technology spending, and provide management with practical reports and recommendations.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
- At least five years of professional experience working with IT systems, including infrastructure, networks, applications, or technical service delivery.
- Minimum two years in an IT supervisory, team lead, or management role, with demonstrated accountability for people, projects, or service levels.
- Proven experience managing ERP/CRM platforms and other business applications, combined with solid working knowledge of IT infrastructure and networking.
- Hands-on experience engaging, directing, and evaluating external IT vendors or managed service providers.
- Professional certifications in ITIL, Microsoft, Cisco, cybersecurity, or project management are a strong advantage.
- Prior experience in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, FMCG, manufacturing, or distribution is highly desirable, as these environments bring distinct system and compliance demands.
- Familiarity with information security frameworks, data protection legislation, and ERP/CRM implementation or improvement projects is an added plus.
