Job Description

Role Overview

This internship places you at the centre of our people operations, where you will support the HR team in keeping day-to-day workflows running smoothly. You will rotate through recruitment, employee documentation, records management, and compliance tasks, giving you a practical foundation in how a structured HR department functions. Your work directly helps maintain accurate staff data, timely communication with candidates, and well-organised processes that the whole organisation relies on.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and filter incoming CVs, create shortlists, and coordinate interview schedules with hiring managers.
  • Arrange interview logistics, including room bookings, candidate notifications, and necessary paperwork.
  • Prepare onboarding packs and induction timetables for new hires, ensuring all required forms are completed.
  • Keep employee files and HR databases current, both in physical folders and electronic systems, and perform regular audits for accuracy.
  • Draft, format, and circulate official documents such as appointment letters, employment contracts, confirmation notices, and internal memos.
  • Track staff attendance and leave balances, and compile the data needed for monthly payroll processing.
  • Help communicate HR policies and answer routine employee questions in a professional, confidential manner.
  • Assist with performance review documentation, training event coordination, and related HR administrative tasks.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Comfortable multitasking and taking initiative in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.
  • High attention to detail and a professional demeanour when interacting with staff and external contacts.
  • Prior internship, industrial attachment, or any HR-related exposure is an added advantage but not mandatory.

What We Offer / Why Join

This role provides a structured learning opportunity to observe and participate in real HR operations. You will receive a monthly stipend of KES 15,000 and gain practical experience that can serve as a strong foundation for a career in human resources.
