Role Overview
As a Graphic Designer at Accurex, you will turn client briefs and event concepts into polished visual work, from early mood boards to finished digital and print assets. Your designs will help event teams deliver cohesive brand experiences across venues, marketing channels, and business development materials, while meeting practical production requirements and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with sales and event colleagues to establish the audience, creative direction, specifications, and deadlines for each project.
- Develop concepts, layouts, and mockups for corporate events, product launches, exhibitions, and other client activities; refine them in response to feedback.
- Create event materials such as stage graphics, backdrops, banners, signage, invitations, programmes, menus, and branded merchandise.
- Produce digital assets for social media, email campaigns, websites, and digital invitations, adapting designs for different platforms.
- Prepare pitch decks, proposals, corporate profiles, and presentation visuals to support business development.
- Make basic photo edits and adapt simple motion graphics for campaign use.
- Set up files for print and digital delivery, checking dimensions, resolution, colour mode, bleed, margins, and output format.
- Coordinate with printers and other production suppliers on proofs, materials, and delivery schedules, and maintain organised records of assets and final artwork.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, Fine Arts, or a related discipline.
- One to two years of professional graphic design experience; experience in events, a creative agency, hospitality, or print production is an advantage.
- A portfolio showing a range of digital design, print layouts, and branding work.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, or comparable professional design software.
- Sound understanding of typography, layout grids, colour theory, large-format artwork, and print proofing.
- Careful attention to detail, effective time management under event deadlines, and the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and suppliers.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Nairobi.
