Key Responsibilities
- Obtain production schedules or shipping orders and transport materials, products, or equipment to and from designated locations within the facility.
- Load and unload goods from trucks, containers, and other vehicles using a forklift.
- Move goods packed on pallets or in crates throughout the warehouse and storage areas.
- Stack and arrange goods in the correct storage locations according to inventory control procedures and warehouse standards.
- Inspect and ensure all loads are properly secured before transportation.
- Collect and stack empty pallets in designated storage areas.
- Conduct daily forklift inspections and basic maintenance checks, including monitoring lubricants, tires, air conditioning, battery/fuel levels, and other essential components.
- Report equipment defects, damages, or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Assist with stock movement, inventory counts, and other warehouse activities as required.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management or leadership.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum KCSE Certificate or equivalent.
- Valid Forklift Operator Certificate/License.
- At least 1–2 years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
- Good understanding of warehouse operations and inventory handling procedures.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions.
