Role Overview
As a forklift operator in a manufacturing environment, you’ll keep materials moving between storage, warehouse, and production areas so work can progress on schedule. Careful handling, accurate placement, and consistent attention to safety help protect products, equipment, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift to move, load, and unload materials across warehouse and production spaces.
- Deliver goods to the appropriate work areas and storage locations.
- Stack and store products securely to maintain an orderly, accessible workspace.
- Check the forklift routinely before use and report faults or maintenance concerns.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures while operating equipment and handling loads.
- Coordinate with colleagues to support material flow and meet operational deadlines.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Previous forklift operating experience in a busy manufacturing setting.
- Current forklift operator certification or licence.
- Knowledge of safe forklift practices and warehouse operations.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Clear communication and a collaborative approach to working with others.
