Role Overview
This position sits at the point where Finance strategy meets the systems that actually execute it, owning the health, consistency and forward trajectory of Finance processes across the Group and its subsidiaries. Day to day, the role holder examines how finance work flows through Oracle E-Business Suite, EPM and core banking platforms, then turns what they find — bottlenecks, control weaknesses, duplicated effort, manual workarounds — into defined requirements, redesigned processes and delivered system enhancements. The value to the organisation is twofold: tighter governance and control over financial operations, and a Finance function that keeps pace with digitisation, automation and emerging technology rather than falling behind it.
Key Responsibilities
- Map and critically review Finance business processes across the Group to surface inefficiencies, control gaps, duplicated activities and candidates for standardisation, then translate findings into prioritised improvement recommendations.
- Gather and document business requirements for new or enhanced Finance system capabilities, and assess existing workflows, data flows, reports and controls to pinpoint where current systems fall short.
- Partner with IT teams, external vendors and business users to convert Finance requirements into workable system and process designs that hold up in practice.
- Lead or support Finance system and process improvement projects end to end — requirements, design, testing, data migration, deployment and post go-live stabilisation — including coordination of user acceptance testing, issue resolution and cutover readiness.
- Serve as the Finance systems and process subject matter expert for Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle EPM, banking Finance processes and related enterprise platforms, diagnosing end-user problems and driving them to root-cause resolution alongside IT, vendors and process owners.
- Identify automation and digitisation use cases across Finance — RPA, AI, workflow automation, analytics — and help design operating and governance arrangements that make those solutions sustainable rather than one-off.
- Support data migration activity, covering field mapping, validation, reconciliation and formal user sign-off.
- Build and deliver training, user guides, process documentation and change communications, and contribute to change impact assessments, readiness tracking and post-implementation adoption reviews.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Five to eight years of experience in Finance systems, Finance transformation, business process improvement or a comparable role within a financial services organisation.
- Hands-on track record supporting or implementing Finance systems and process improvement initiatives, including requirements gathering, system and process design, testing, data migration, user training, go-live support and issue resolution.
- Deep working knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite core Finance modules, coupled with a clear understanding of the end-to-end Finance processes they support.
- Practical familiarity with Oracle EPM modules and the reporting, planning, budgeting or consolidation processes they enable.
- Required experience with banking Finance processes and source systems, specifically Finacle and Way4.
- Solid grounding in process mapping, requirements definition, controls design and post go-live support, plus a strong appreciation of digitisation, AI, RPA, workflow automation and data analytics use cases in a Finance context.
- Strong analytical and root-cause problem-solving ability, with the communication and facilitation skills to engage stakeholders, train users and work effectively across functions and subsidiaries.
- High attention to detail and a genuine control mindset, combined with ownership, delivery orientation and the change agility to guide users through system and process transformation.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, Technology or a related discipline.
- Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, CISA, CIMA or equivalent are advantageous, as are certifications in project management, business analysis, process improvement, automation or ERP.
- Exposure to multi-country or Group-level Finance operations is an added advantage.
