Subsequently the Foundation "Vi Planterar träd” (Vi Agroforestry) was established to raise funds for the project. Vi Agroforestry is an international non-political, non religious and non profit organisation registered in Swedan as a foundation and in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda as a non-governmental organisation. Its headquarters are situated in Stockholm, Sweden, with a Regional Office in Nairobi, Kenya. Vi Agroforestry started up in West Pokot District, Kenya in 1983. The original aim was to halt desertification and soil erosion by planting trees. As more funds became available Vi Agroforestry expanded and in 1986 a new project site was established in Trans Nzoia District, with a new project office in Kitale, Kenya. Job Description

Background

Vi Agroforestry works with smallholder farmers across Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania to promote sustainable agroforestry and climate resilience, supported by over 40 years of experience.

Assignment

The consultant will produce a high-quality short documentary combining archival footage, new visuals, and interviews to present a clear, human-centered story of Vi Agroforestry’s work.

Key Outputs

  • One documentary film (5 to 8 minutes)
  • Two short videos for social media
  • Selected photography and raw footage

Qualified consultants (or firms) are invited to submit:

  • Technical proposal outlining the approach to the assignment
  • Financial proposal including total cost and cost breakdown
  • Proposed timeline for delivery
  • CV(s) and/or relevant experience, including examples of similar assignments
