Field Technician

About this role

As the Field Technician, you will be responsible for administrative and mechanical maintenance of company assets. This involves installing, monitoring, and tracking company assets. Key Responsibilities

Asset Readiness & Disbursement

  • Inspect all company assets on delivery, assess that they are in good mechanical condition, receive the assets, and sign a delivery note based on what has been received.
  • Report any delivered damaged or faulty assets to the Branch Executive, Procurement Officer, and General Manager.
  • Immediately after offloading newly received assets and accessories, capture and record them into the ERP system.
  • Ensure all assets are well branded, placed in secure storage, and organized systematically to allow for easy and timely access during disbursement.
  • Ensure all company assets ready for disbursement are captured and recorded in CRM and ERP, active and traceable on the Tugende dashboard.
  • Ensure all disbursed company assets and accessories are picked and packed on the disbursement date.

Inventory and Warehousing Management

  • Record all second-hand bikes returned to the Branch.
  • Update the inventory register with specific details of assets and accessories held in stock at the branch (Brand, Colour, Value) in the ERP.
  • Ensure that inventory kept at the branch is well maintained in a clean and organized manner.
  • Ensure both the physical and ERP inventory register tally at all times.
  • Uninstall the GPS tracker unit from completed assets.
  • Ensure GPS units are available for installation based on current stock and advising procurement on restocking.
  • Keep track of inventory levels and share snapshot reports as required from time to time.
  • Ensure that GPS units are availed to the Tugende branches.

Document Management

  • Ensure all delivery notes of all assets, accessories, and spare parts are signed, scanned, and kept on file in both soft and hard copies at the branch.
  • Ensure picking lists are generated from the ERP, signed by the client, and records kept at the branches.
  • Daily reconciliation of the physical stock and the system to ensure that there are no asset losses or gaps in the system.

Sale, After Sales & Asset Servicing and Maintenance

  • Meet the assigned branch monthly sales targets.
  • Ensure all client and staff assets are active and traceable on the dashboard at all times.
  • Ensure all client and staff assets are maintained in good working conditions at all times.
  • Maintain a tracker of clients and staff assets at all times.
  • Ensure inspection of assets is done and recorded before repairs and services are updated on the CRM Database.

Work Experience and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience with motorcycles and car assembly and repairs.
  • At least one (1) year working experience as a mechanic or electrician with a reputable organisation or institute.
  • A Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Automobile Engineering, or Motor Vehicle Mechanics, obtained from a certified and recognised institution of learning.
  • Should have a valid motorbike riding licence. (Mandatory)

Technical Skills and Behavioural Attributes

  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to interpret and understand technical diagrams and manuals.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules.
  • Familiarity with mobile tools and applications.
  • Knowledge of health and safety issues related to motorcycle use, including electrical, mechanical, and chemical risks.
