Job Description

Role Overview

This is a hands-on, territory-based sales role where most of your day is spent on the move — knocking on doors, meeting prospects face to face, and turning casual conversations into new Poa! customers. You own a defined patch, and how well you work it directly shapes the company's growth in that area, so you're measured on the sign-ups you close and the relationships you leave behind. Beyond the sale itself, you're often the first human face of the brand for a new subscriber, which makes the way you handle their early weeks just as important as winning them in the first place.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work your assigned territory systematically through daily field visits, prospecting, referrals and door-to-door outreach to find people who need reliable connectivity.
  • Build and maintain a live pipeline of leads, moving each prospect steadily through the sales process rather than letting interest go cold.
  • Explain Poa!'s products clearly and confidently, answer questions, work through objections, and ask for the sale using the approach the business has trained you on.
  • Meet the monthly sales targets set for your territory, drawing on hands-on coaching and feedback from your Territory Sales Manager.
  • Log activity accurately in the required systems and submit your daily sales reports on time, every time.
  • Stay close to customers through their first weeks on the service, resolving concerns and helping them get real value so they remain subscribers.
  • Keep your eyes open for what's happening around you — shifting customer needs, competitor offers, local market trends — and feed what you learn back to your manager.
  • Cultivate productive relationships with landlords, property managers and other local gatekeepers who can open doors or smooth the way for installations and sales.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • KCSE certificate at minimum; a certificate, diploma or degree in any field is also welcome.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for sales and a clear appetite for a field-based, target-driven working environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills — you can open a conversation with a stranger and keep it going.
  • Target-driven and results-focused: hitting a goal motivates you and you like seeing the direct payoff of your effort.
  • Resilient and persuasive: rejection doesn't derail you, and you can read what a customer needs, articulate the value, and ask for the sale without hesitation.
  • Self-motivated and resourceful, comfortable taking initiative to uncover new opportunities rather than waiting to be directed.
  • Organised and disciplined — able to plan your day, track leads and pipeline, and follow established processes and commitments.
  • A team player who collaborates well with colleagues and is willing to learn from your manager and teammates.
  • Comfortable spending your working hours outdoors in the field, covering a defined territory, with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

What We Offer / Why Join

  • Direct coaching and support from a Territory Sales Manager who works alongside you to sharpen your technique and hit your numbers.
  • Structured training, ongoing coaching and other learning opportunities that build your sales knowledge and capability over time.
  • A collaborative environment where you work with your team and other departments toward shared business goals.
  • A defined territory of your own, giving you a clear area to own, work and grow in.
