Role Overview
This is a field-based sales role for someone who would rather be out meeting people than sitting behind a desk. Working a defined territory, you will introduce Poa!'s products to prospective customers, turn everyday conversations into new sign-ups, and stay close to customers during their first weeks on the service so they remain connected. The work directly drives subscriber growth in your area — the relationships you build with residents, landlords and property managers are what open doors for the wider business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect for and engage new customers across your assigned territory, moving them from first conversation to completed sale.
- Plan and carry out daily field visits, generating leads and keeping a healthy, active pipeline of prospects.
- Explain Poa!'s products clearly and confidently, answering questions and working through objections while following the company sales process.
- Meet agreed monthly sales targets, drawing on hands-on coaching and support from your Territory Sales Manager.
- Keep sales records accurate, use the required systems consistently, and submit daily activity reports on time.
- Stay in touch with customers through their early experience with the service, resolving concerns and strengthening the relationship.
- Watch for shifts in customer needs, market trends and competitor activity, and share what you learn with your manager.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with landlords, property managers and other stakeholders who influence access in your territory.
- Collaborate with teammates and other departments on shared business goals, and take part in training, coaching and other learning activities to sharpen your sales skills.
Requirements & Qualifications
- KCSE certificate at minimum; a Certificate, Diploma or Degree in any field is also considered.
- A genuine interest in and passion for sales as a career path.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills — able to open conversations with people from all walks of life.
- Comfortable working in a target-driven, field-based environment with regular daily travel within a set territory.
- Self-motivated and organised enough to plan your day, manage your leads and keep track of your pipeline without close supervision.
- Resilient in the face of rejection, persuasive in understanding customer needs and asking for the sale, and disciplined about following processes and honouring commitments.
- A positive attitude, a strong work ethic and a willingness to keep learning.
What We Offer / Why Join
- Structured coaching and day-to-day support from a Territory Sales Manager invested in your performance.
- Ongoing training, coaching and learning activities designed to grow your sales knowledge and capabilities.
- A collaborative team culture where you work alongside colleagues and other departments toward shared goals.
- Ownership of a defined territory, with the autonomy to plan your days and the visibility of seeing your effort translate into results.
