Role Overview
This field-based role focuses on bringing Tuishi’s community health and welfare products — including medical cover, last expense cover, and the Inkind Envelope service — directly to residents in the Coast Region. You will meet people where they live, work, worship, and receive care, helping them understand their options, sign up as members, and use the services when they need them. Your day-to-day presence in these communities is what builds trust, increases membership, and ensures current members receive the support they are entitled to.
Key Responsibilities
- Enrol new members by explaining Tuishi’s products clearly and helping applicants complete their registration accurately.
- Educate communities about the full range of covers — medical cover, last expense cover, and the Inkind Envelope — and the practical differences between them.
- Guide members through service activations, claim submissions, and any paperwork needed to access their benefits.
- Expand Tuishi’s visibility by making regular, planned visits to villages, estates, markets, hospitals, churches, and workplaces across the Coast Region.
- Build relationships with community leaders, institution heads, and informal groups to open new channels for member recruitment.
- Follow up with existing members on renewals, outstanding issues, and any questions that arise after registration.
- Maintain accurate records of daily recruitment activity, service requests, and community feedback for reporting to the wider Tuishi team.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Strong communication and people skills, with the ability to explain complex insurance or social welfare concepts in simple, relatable terms.
- Self-motivated and disciplined enough to work with minimal supervision, managing your own schedule and territory effectively.
- A resident of the Coast Region or willing to relocate there for the role.
- Genuine passion for community service and a commitment to helping low-income or underserved members access protection and support.
- Comfortable working outdoors and moving between different venues on a daily basis.
- Basic numeracy and literacy for completing registration forms and service records; experience in community sales, mobilisation, or microinsurance is a plus.
Why Join
This is an opportunity to do work that has a visible, tangible impact on the people you interact with every day. Rather than sitting behind a desk, you will be on the ground in communities that often lack access to affordable cover, helping families protect themselves against medical emergencies and funeral costs. If you believe in serving people and want the freedom of independent, field-driven work, this role offers both purpose and real responsibility.
