Role Overview

This is a field-based community engagement role with Tuishi, focused on helping local residents understand and access medical cover, last expense cover, and the Inkind Envelope service. You will spend most of your time travelling through Coast Region communities, signing up new members, supporting existing member claims, and raising awareness of Tuishi’s products. Your daily work directly expands the organisation's presence while making sure families get the protection and support they need when they need it.

Key Responsibilities

• Register new Tuishi members at community events, one-on-one visits, and organised outreach sessions.
• Demystify Medical Cover, Last Expense Cover, and the Inkind Envelope for community members using clear, simple language.
• Guide members through the claims process and follow up to ensure service activations are completed without delay.
• Identify and engage community leaders, groups, and institutions as entry points for enrolment drives.
• Represent Tuishi at local markets, health facilities, places of worship, estates, schools, and other gathering points.
• Maintain accurate records of personal interactions, new members signed up, issues raised, and outcomes resolved.
• Attend team meetings and community activations, contributing feedback on member concerns and product uptake.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Proven ability to communicate persuasively and comfortably with diverse community audiences.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including active listening, patience, and empathy when dealing with member concerns.
• Self-motivation and the discipline to manage your own schedule and daily activity targets with minimal supervision.
• Immediate residency in Coast Region or genuine readiness to relocate for field work.
• Demonstrated passion for serving the community, ideally through volunteer work, outreach, or similar field experience.
• Ability to travel extensively to remote and semi-urban areas on a regular basis, sometimes on short notice.
• Basic numeracy and record-keeping ability, plus familiarity with mobile phones or simple digital tools.
• A secondary school education or equivalent; additional qualifications in community development, sales, or insurance are an advantage.
