Role Overview
You will act as the local ambassador for Tuishi, working directly within communities along the Coast Region to help people understand, sign up for, and actually use their cover. Your daily work centres on member growth and member support: registering new members, explaining how Medical Cover, Last Expense Cover, and the Inkind Envelope work, and helping members who need to file claims or activate their services. You will operate largely on your own, travelling to familiar and new spaces where people gather, building trust, and ensuring Tuishi becomes a well-known and dependable presence in the area.
Key Responsibilities
- Register new members by guiding them through the sign-up process, answering their questions, and confirming their details accurately at the point of registration.
- Educate community leaders and residents on what Tuishi's Medical Cover, Last Expense Cover, and Inkind Envelope include, using clear and simple language that suits each audience.
- Take Tuishi beyond the usual sales spots by carrying out outreach in villages, markets, estates, hospitals, churches, and workplaces.
- Meet with members who need help with their claims, explaining the paperwork and processes involved and following up to make sure their concerns are resolved.
- Assist new and existing members with service activations, helping them understand how to start using their cover and address any roadblocks they encounter.
- Build a weekly outreach schedule, identifying the best locations and times to reach potential members and arranging talks or group sessions as needed.
- Maintain positive relationships with members after registration, reminding them of important information and encouraging renewals and word-of-mouth referrals.
- Keep clear records of daily outreach visits, membership registrations, and member feedback, and report on these to the wider team to support continuous growth.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting to groups and holding individual conversations.
- Self-motivated and disciplined, able to plan your own working day and follow through without ongoing supervision.
- A resident of the Coast Region or genuinely willing to relocate there on your own arrangement.
- Genuine enthusiasm for community service and a desire to help people access meaningful cover for their health and end-of-life needs.
- Ability to relate to people from different backgrounds and adapt your approach from a hospital corridor to a church gathering or open-air market.
- Practical mobility and willingness to travel to multiple community locations regularly.
