Technical Operations & Maintenance
- Supervise daily operations and ensure preventive and corrective maintenance is carried out on all hotel facilities: electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, elevators, hot/cold water systems, kitchen equipment, etc.
- Ensure all systems are functioning efficiently and comply with safety standards.
- Respond promptly to emergency repair situations.
Staff Supervision
- Create and manage work schedules for engineering technicians.
- Train, guide, and support team members in technical procedures and safety protocols.
- Monitor and evaluate technician performance regularly.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily logbooks, maintenance reports, and technical checklists.
- Report all completed tasks, pending issues, and critical incidents to the Chief Engineer.
- Monitor and manage inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations in the engineering department.
- Conduct regular checks on fire safety systems, generators, and emergency power systems.
- Coordinate with other departments during breakdowns or technical issues.
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in facilities management, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, generators, and kitchen equipment; ability to read technical drawings and schematics
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and energy conservation practices
- Strong organizational skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
