Role Overview
This is a field-based service position covering Dealer Tinting System (DTS) machines installed at dealer and customer sites. You will be the first point of contact when a machine stops performing — travelling to site, diagnosing the fault, and restoring it to full working order, while also keeping units on a planned maintenance schedule before problems appear. Because dealers rely on these systems to complete tinting work for their own customers, your response speed and repair quality directly determine whether their day runs normally or stalls, making this role central to protecting dealer relationships and equipment uptime.
Key Responsibilities
- Commission new DTS machines at dealer premises, including setup, calibration, and a working handover to the operator.
- Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance visits to reduce unplanned breakdowns and extend machine service life.
- Attend breakdown calls and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and electronic faults on site, completing repairs within the response and resolution windows committed to dealers.
- Recalibrate DTS units after repair or relocation, verifying output quality and confirming the machine is running to specification before closing the job.
- Log every service visit, complaint, and resolution accurately in the CRM, and keep machine history records complete and current.
- Resolve assigned CRM complaints end to end, following up until the dealer confirms the issue is closed.
- Advise dealers and their staff on correct machine operation, basic first-line checks, and safe handling practices.
- Escalate recurring or unresolved technical problems with clear field reports, and coordinate spare parts availability, software or settings updates, and other technical inputs needed to finish the job.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
- Two to three years of hands-on experience in equipment or machine maintenance, ideally in a field service or on-site support setting.
- Working knowledge of electrical circuits, mechanical assemblies, and electronic control systems, with the ability to read the fault and act on it rather than replace parts by guesswork.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability, including the judgement to decide when a repair can be completed on site and when escalation is required.
- Clear communication and customer-handling skills — you will be representing the brand in front of dealer staff and their customers.
- Comfort with basic computer and mobile applications, and the discipline to maintain CRM records and service documentation properly.
- Willingness to travel regularly and work at different dealer and customer locations as the service schedule demands.
- A valid driving licence is an added advantage.
