Role Overview
You will own the daily experience of the drivers who keep our operations moving, guiding them from their first day through every ride and shift. Your focus is on building trust, maintaining high service standards, and keeping drivers engaged so that both they and the company succeed. This role sits at the intersection of people management, operational policy, and customer experience — every conversation you have directly shapes service quality and driver retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead structured onboarding sessions that introduce new drivers to our systems, expectations, and safety protocols, ensuring they are confident before taking on their first assignment.
- Design and run recurring training touchpoints that reinforce professional conduct, defensive driving practices, and passenger- or client-facing communication standards.
- Cultivate a genuinely supportive driver community through regular check-in calls, group discussions, and personalized engagement outreach aimed at reducing churn.
- Act as the bridge between drivers and management by collecting field-level insights, surfacing common pain points, and proposing practical fixes for operational bottlenecks.
- Resolve day-to-day driver concerns such as payout discrepancies, app access problems, and trip-level disputes with clear explanations and timely follow-through.
- Track individual performance markers like trip acceptance and customer satisfaction scores, then provide one-on-one coaching conversations that are specific, constructive, and actionable.
- Communicate incentive structures and earning targets transparently so drivers understand exactly what is expected and how their efforts translate into rewards.
- Coordinate with customer support and dispatch teams to anticipate coverage shortages, identify recurring service gaps, and keep driver availability aligned with demand patterns.
- Monitor adherence to local transportation regulations and company rules, documenting repeated issues and escalating serious violations for formal review.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships with a wide range of personalities, particularly in driver, field-service, or logistics environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven talent for de-escalating tense situations and turning complaints into constructive outcomes.
- High emotional intelligence — you can listen actively, validate concerns, and maintain composure even during peak pressure or difficult conversations.
- A solution-oriented mindset that thrives on operational challenges and responds quickly to real-time issues without losing sight of long-term goals.
- Comfort with basic performance tracking using spreadsheets or internal dashboards to spot trends and justify coaching decisions with data.
- Unwavering commitment to putting the driver and end customer experience first, even when balancing conflicting priorities.
- Ability to gain cooperation without formal authority, motivating drivers through influence, clarity, and mutual respect rather than mandates.
- Previous experience in driver relations, fleet coordination, ride-hailing operations, or people-focused field roles is strongly preferred.
