Role Overview

This position centers on getting agrovet products to farms, retail points, and company branches without delays or damage, while keeping accurate paperwork and a professional image at every stop. You will spend most of your day on the road around Narok County, combining driving duties with hands-on loading and unloading, vehicle upkeep, and courteous interaction with customers who depend on reliable supply. The role matters because timely, safe deliveries directly support the business’s reputation and the productivity of the agricultural communities it serves.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the assigned vehicle along planned routes, respecting Kenyan traffic regulations and company driving standards at all times.
• Deliver agrovet products to customers and branches according to the daily schedule, confirming that the right items and quantities leave the vehicle.
• Handle loading and unloading carefully, using safe manual handling techniques to keep products intact and avoid losses.
• Match delivery documents with actual goods before departure and after arrival, collecting customer signatures as proof of receipt.
• Carry out pre-trip and post-trip checks on brakes, tyres, lights, fluid levels, and other critical components, reporting faults immediately.
• Keep the vehicle clean and roadworthy, arranging refuelling and scheduled servicing so that daily operations are never interrupted.
• Log every trip, mileage reading, fuel purchase, delivery stop, and maintenance action in the designated record systems.
• Communicate any delays, incidents, or customer issues to the supervisor as soon as they occur, and return all signed documents and authorised payments with full accountability.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum KCSE certificate or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• Valid Kenyan driving licence BCE or the class matching the assigned vehicle.
• At least three years of professional driving experience, ideally within distribution, FMCG, agrovet, or agricultural supply operations.
• A clean driving record with a solid working knowledge of Kenyan road rules and safety practices.
• Basic mechanical awareness to identify common vehicle faults and know when to escalate them.
• Current Certificate of Good Conduct.
• Good verbal communication and customer-facing skills, with the ability to represent the company positively.
• Physical fitness for repeated lifting, loading, and offloading duties during the working day.
• Honesty and reliability, including the discipline to work without direct supervision.
• Familiarity with Narok County and surrounding routes is an added advantage.
