Role Overview
Pearl Hospital is looking for a hands-on digital marketing and content lead to shape how the hospital shows up online and connects with the community it serves. This role combines strategy, storytelling, and day-to-day platform management, turning clinical expertise and patient-care moments into clear, trustworthy content. You will be the driving force behind the hospital’s web presence, social channels, and campaigns, helping departments reach the right audiences with accurate, respectful, and engaging messaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and carry out an annual digital marketing and content roadmap that reflects Pearl Hospital’s services, priorities, and community needs.
- Keep the hospital website, Google Business Profile, and social media accounts accurate, active, and consistent with the hospital’s brand and tone.
- Produce original written, photographic, and video content — including patient-education articles, service highlights, staff features, and short-form social clips — from concept through editing and publishing.
- Plan, launch, and optimise organic and paid digital campaigns across search and social platforms to support hospital initiatives and service awareness.
- Collaborate with clinicians, nursing teams, and departmental staff to gather story leads, confirm clinical accuracy, and schedule content that fits their availability.
- Track reach, engagement, website traffic, and conversion metrics; turn the data into clear, practical reports with recommended next steps.
- Moderate online comments and messages, nurture community interaction, and uphold patient confidentiality and professional medical standards at all times.
- Stay current with platform updates, digital tools, and emerging content formats, and suggest improvements that keep the hospital’s approach effective.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience in digital marketing, content creation, or social media management.
- Strong writing and editing skills, plus practical photography, videography, and video-editing ability.
- Working knowledge of social media management, SEO, website content management, digital advertising, and analytics tools.
- Proven ability to work independently, juggle multiple projects, and deliver measurable results.
- Experience in healthcare or professional-services marketing is an added advantage.
- Must be willing and able to work on-site in Nyahururu.
