- Oversee a dedicated portfolio of corporate energy clients, proactively addressing their evolving banking requirements and ensuring long-term satisfaction.
- Originate, structure, and negotiate complex credit facilities—including project finance loans, term loans, and working capital lines—for power generation, transmission, distribution, and renewable energy projects.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis and credit risk assessments for each transaction, preparing detailed credit applications and presentations for internal approval committees.
- Drive cross-selling of treasury, trade finance, and advisory products to strengthen client engagement and revenue generation.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and project milestones in the energy and infrastructure space to uncover new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with relationship managers from other sectors and with product specialists to deliver holistic banking solutions tailored to each client’s project lifecycle.
- Ensure strict adherence to the bank’s credit policies, risk frameworks, and compliance standards across all dealings.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to growing the bank’s footprint in the energy vertical.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum five years of experience in corporate banking, with at least three years directly managing large corporate customer relationships.
- Proven track record in structuring and executing financing for power, infrastructure, or renewable energy projects.
- Strong knowledge of project finance principles and infrastructure lending structures.
- Professional banking qualification (e.g., ACIB, CFA) is an added advantage.
- Solid credit analysis, financial modeling, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
