Job Description

Principal Accountabilities

  • Carrying out daily vetting checks on candidates across the world as well as running periodical vetting batch-checks.
  • Working on DBS renewal checks, tracking renewal/expiry dates and ensuring these are completed in a timely manner.
  • Verify and confirm right-to-work checks in accordance with legal and organisational requirements.
  • Assisting in the maintenance of the internal databases and HR Legal inbox.
  • Liaising with our global and country offices and ensuring a prompt and thorough response to their requests for employee vetting checks.
  • Escalating any concerns as necessary to the Team Lead, People Operations.
  • Providing regular communications to Country Offices to support with the vetting process, as well as providing training.
  • Providing ad hoc administrative support to team members as and when required.

Experience and Skills
Essential

  • Previous general office administration experience.
  • Previous experience using a system/database
  • Understanding of HR and recruitment processes.
  • Understands the need for confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information and correspondence.
  • Sound judgement and an ability to effectively prioritise.
  • Highly competent in the use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Experienced in developing and maintaining efficient filing systems.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, fluent in English.
  • Evidenced ability to liaise and communicate effectively with a broad range of people at all levels, across different cultures, and to act with credibility, discretion, tact and diplomacy.
  • Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise and work calmly under pressure to achieve deadlines.

Desirable

  • Some knowledge and understanding of legal and/or procurement practices
