Job Title: Commis Chef

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Commis Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. Under the supervision of the Head Chef, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences while supporting both tournament and daily play operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate cook to grow in a fast-paced, high‑standard environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation and cooking under the direct supervision of the Head Chef, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish served.
• Maintain hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen, strictly following food safety protocols and cleaning schedules.
• Support menu execution by prepping ingredients, portioning, and plating dishes according to specifications.
• Contribute to daily operations, including stock rotation, inventory management, and equipment upkeep.
• Assist with special event preparation for tournaments and daily play, adapting to changing volumes and timings as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Certificate in Food Production (or equivalent culinary qualification).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a busy, high‑volume kitchen environment.
• Team player with a strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
• Flexibility to support preparation for tournaments and daily play, including weekends and holidays as needed.
