Description:
GECO is seeking a skilled and motivated Control Technician to join its team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This role is ideal for professionals with practical experience in electrical control systems, installation, protection systems, and commissioning support within engineering and infrastructure projects.
The selected candidate will assist with the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical control and protection systems while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform control and protection panel wiring, termination, and installation.
• Install relay and protection panels for electrical systems.
• Carry out control cable laying and cable termination activities.
• Install switchgear, substation equipment, and associated electrical systems.
• Perform fiber optic and CAT-6 cable installation.
• Support testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
• Install capacitor banks and complete associated electrical works.
• Ensure installation work complies with project specifications and safety standards.
Requirements:
• Hands-on experience with electrical control systems and installation work.
• Practical knowledge of control and protection panel wiring.
• Familiarity with relay and protection systems.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Switchgear and substation installation.
• Cable laying and termination.
• Fiber optic and CAT-6 cable installation.
• Testing and commissioning procedures.
• Electrical installation practices
