Role Overview
This leadership role is central to driving commercial success by taking full ownership of sales targets and ensuring consistent month-over-month delivery. Day to day, the person will replicate proven processes in new markets, build teams that execute with precision, and use data to anticipate market shifts. The role matters because it directly strengthens the commercial organization to support future growth while minimizing spoilage and variances across the value chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of monthly sales targets and ensure alignment across the entire sales department chain of responsibility.
- Replicate established operational processes in new settings, setting up teams that execute consistently and accurately.
- Train the commercial team to build a robust organization capable of meeting future growth demands.
- Implement tracking and accountability mechanisms throughout the value chain to reduce spoilage and variances.
- Operate a sales incentive system that is clearly understood and embraced by the team.
- Use data to forecast market behaviour—competitor moves, customer insights, pricing shifts—and identify opportunities through both backcasting and forecasting.
- Organize marketing campaigns in various regions to increase product awareness and enhance brand visibility and reputation.
- Maintain regular communication with senior management on project status and any issues that could affect performance.
- Negotiate contracts and leases with vendors, suppliers, and other third parties involved in commercial efforts.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in sales.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and a dedicated learning mindset—able to replicate processes in unfamiliar environments.
- Impeccable track record of integrity, validated through objective data tracking and reporting across production, logistics, and commercial departments.
- Proven history of exceeding sales targets and delivering revenue growth.
- Experience operating within departmental budgets.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or psychology.
