Job Purpose
The Business & Portfolio Development Manager will be the primary driver of growth by strategically expanding our residential property inventory and maximizing occupancy. This role requires a high-level negotiator who can bridge the gap between property owners and high-value tenants. You will be responsible for sourcing new units, pitching our unique rental model to landlords, and establishing critical relationships with multinational corporations and relocation agencies. The ideal candidate brings a sophisticated understanding of the Nairobi real estate market and a proven ability to close high-stakes lease agreements.
Key Deliverables
Portfolio Expansion & Landlord Relations

Scout and identify high-potential residential properties that align with the company’s quality standards.

Actively pitch the company’s value proposition to property owners and landlords to secure new management units.

Negotiate master lease agreements and commercial terms that protect the company’s interests while offering value to owners.

Conduct thorough site evaluations to determine the commercial viability of potential portfolio additions.
Occupancy & Revenue Generation

Drive tenant acquisition by engaging with property agents, relocation firms, and direct corporate leads.

Manage the full leasing cycle, from initial property viewings to the final signing of tenancy agreements.

Strategize and execute corporate outreach programs to secure long-term leases with international organizations.

Maintain a robust pipeline of prospective tenants, ensuring minimal void periods across the portfolio.
Strategic Partnerships & Market Growth

Cultivate long-term alliances with global mobility teams, NGOs, and multinational companies relocating staff to Kenya.

Position the company as the preferred accommodation provider for expatriate and corporate sectors.

Stay ahead of market shifts by monitoring competitor pricing, rental trends, and emerging residential hotspots.

Track conversion metrics and provide senior management with data-driven insights on portfolio performance.
Qualifications & Background
Professional Experience

Education: Degree in Real Estate Management, Land Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

Track Record: A minimum of 6 years of experience in sales or business development.

Sector Expertise: Deep, mandatory experience within the Real Estate or adjacent property industries.
Essential Criteria

Negotiation Skills: Exceptional ability to navigate complex lease discussions and close high-value contracts.

Network: An existing network of property owners, agents, and corporate HR/relocation contacts in Nairobi.
