Role Overview
The Business Development Executive will grow Accurex Leadership and Management Consultants’ corporate client base by selling HR and workforce services to businesses in Nairobi. From identifying prospects and understanding their needs to negotiating agreements and coordinating handovers, this role helps turn client requirements into sustainable revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Research target companies and identify relevant HR, procurement, and executive decision-makers.
- Generate sales opportunities through calls, tailored emails, networking, and consistent follow-up.
- Qualify prospects by assessing their workforce needs, budgets, decision timelines, and readiness to purchase.
- Meet with prospective clients to explore requirements across recruitment, staffing, outsourcing, payroll, training, and HR technology.
- Work with HR consultants to develop relevant service recommendations, proposals, quotations, and tender submissions.
- Manage negotiations on scope, pricing, and contract terms within approved limits, and guide opportunities through to signature.
- Maintain relationships with existing accounts, identify opportunities for additional services or renewals, and coordinate billing queries or payment follow-up with Finance.
- Keep CRM records current and report on pipeline activity, deal forecasts, conversions, revenue, and market feedback.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resource Management, or a related discipline.
- At least 2–3 years of experience in business development, B2B sales, or selling professional services.
- Experience selling recruitment, HR services, payroll outsourcing, or HR technology is strongly preferred.
- Strong prospecting, presentation, written communication, negotiation, and follow-up skills, including the confidence to engage senior business and HR leaders.
- Commercial awareness and a target-focused approach, with the ability to discuss pricing and margins responsibly.
- Resilience in handling rejection and maintaining consistent outreach and pipeline activity.
- Professional integrity and care in representing service capabilities and handling confidential client information.
- Ability to work full-time on site in Nairobi, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
