Role Overview
This branch leadership role combines commercial growth with oversight of credit, operations and customer service. You will guide the team in meeting business targets while maintaining a sound lending portfolio and ensuring the branch operates in line with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Build branch performance by growing deposits, lending, revenue and profitability.
- Strengthen relationships with existing customers and identify opportunities to bring in new business.
- Monitor credit quality, track portfolio performance and ensure lending terms are followed.
- Prepare and manage the branch budget, reviewing results against targets and taking action where needed.
- Set direction for branch staff, coaching and developing the team to improve performance and customer service.
- Maintain effective operational controls and ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal policies.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
- At least seven years of experience in banking or financial services.
- Relevant experience in branch banking, business development, credit or relationship management.
- A record of contributing to business growth, managing credit portfolios and meeting performance targets.
- Experience leading and developing a team.
- A master’s degree in business administration, banking and finance, or a relevant professional qualification is an advantage.
