Role Overview
You will spend your working days identifying and converting business clients—from medium-sized offices to commercial institutions—along the Kangundo Road corridor and surrounding Nairobi areas, selling high-speed fiber and dedicated internet access packages. This role is critical to the company because every closed deal adds recurring revenue and expands the provider's footprint in a competitive ISP market. You will combine field visits, cold calls, and product demonstrations to build a steady pipeline of corporate accounts while meeting aggressive monthly acquisition targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and map commercial zones, office blocks, and light industrial clusters to generate a consistent flow of qualified leads for internet services.
- Initiate cold outreach—via phone, email, and in-person visits—to decision-makers such as IT managers, procurement officers, and business owners.
- Deliver tailored presentations that translate technical specifications like bandwidth, latency, and uptime into clear business advantages for each prospect.
- Negotiate service contracts, prepare accurate quotations, and close deals that align with the company’s pricing structure and client expectations.
- Manage the entire sales cycle in a CRM, updating lead status, tracking progress against monthly revenue goals, and reporting pipeline health to the sales manager.
- Coordinate with the technical team to schedule site surveys and ensure smooth installations, acting as the client’s primary contact during onboarding.
- Conduct post-sale follow-ups to maintain satisfaction, reduce churn, and uncover opportunities for upselling additional services such as managed Wi-Fi or backup links.
- Monitor competitor offers and market trends along Kangundo Road to refine your sales pitch and keep the company’s packages competitive.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration, Telecommunications, or a related commercial field.
- Minimum of two years of hands-on B2B sales experience specifically within an internet service provider (ISP) or telecommunications company.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding monthly sales quotas in a corporate sales environment, with demonstrated ability to convert cold leads into signed contracts.
- Comfortable working and traveling within the Kangundo Road area of Nairobi, with knowledge of the local business landscape.
- Strong verbal persuasion and negotiation skills, capable of engaging C-level executives and technical buyers alike.
- Self-starter mentality with the discipline to manage your own daily prospecting schedule without micromanagement.
- Basic technical aptitude to understand fiber connectivity, IP configurations, and enterprise network solutions enough to explain them clearly to non-technical clients.
