Role Overview
This hands-on attachment program places you within Swahilipot Hub’s active project teams, where you will contribute to real digital initiatives while learning from experienced technologists and entrepreneurs. Over three months, you will rotate through core functions such as community management, event coordination, content creation, and tech support—gaining the cross-functional exposure needed to launch a career in Kenya’s innovation ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the daily operations of the hub, including member check-ins, space maintenance, and resource allocation.
- Assist in planning and executing community events, workshops, and demo days—from logistics to participant follow-up.
- Create and schedule social media content that highlights hub activities, resident stories, and upcoming opportunities.
- Document and report on project milestones, meeting notes, and feedback from community members.
- Provide basic technical support during events (AV setup, connectivity troubleshooting) and help maintain shared equipment.
- Conduct research on local tech trends and compile briefs for the hub’s strategic planning.
- Collaborate with cohort peers on a capstone project that addresses a real challenge faced by the hub or its startups.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a diploma or degree program in IT, business, communications, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Swahili.
- Familiarity with basic digital tools (Google Workspace, Canva, social media platforms).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, open-plan environment.
- Demonstrated interest in technology, entrepreneurship, or community development.
- Reliable internet access and a personal laptop for remote tasks when required.
- Prior volunteer or internship experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
