Role Overview
This attachment program places you at the centre of an active innovation hub, where you will work alongside experienced professionals on projects that support local tech and entrepreneurship. Day to day, you will contribute to community events, assist with operational tasks, and collaborate on digital initiatives — all while building the hands-on skills needed to launch your career in a fast-paced ecosystem. Your work directly supports the hub’s goal of nurturing Kenya’s next generation of tech talent and innovators.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of hub events, workshops, and meetups.
- Assist in managing the hub’s community platforms, including social media channels and member communications.
- Help prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for ongoing projects and partner engagements.
- Participate in project teams focused on technology, digital content, or community development initiatives.
- Provide everyday administrative support to hub staff, including scheduling, logistics, and visitor services.
- Gather and organise feedback from community members to improve hub programming and resources.
- Contribute to the creation of learning materials or guides for other attachment participants.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a diploma or bachelor’s programme in information technology, business administration, communication, or a related field.
- Basic proficiency with office productivity tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft Office) and familiarity with social media platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Swahili.
- Demonstrated interest in innovation, technology, or entrepreneurship through coursework, clubs, or personal projects.
- Ability to commit to the full program duration (September 7 to November 27, 2026) on a full-time schedule.
- Self-starter attitude with a willingness to learn, ask questions, and take on new tasks.
- Prior volunteer or internship experience in a community-facing role is an advantage.
