Role Overview
The ARMO Engineer works alongside the ARMO Manager and workshop team, applying engineering judgment to the daily assembly, repair, and maintenance operation. This person keeps tooling, benches, and instruments calibrated and maintained, audits how work is performed, and turns findings into practical improvements. The role matters because it connects technical reliability, HSE and quality compliance, and continuous improvement so the plant can run safely, efficiently, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit ARMO processes, tools, and procedures, then help implement changes that improve efficiency and reduce operational waste.
- Own the scheduling and execution of maintenance and calibration plans for tools, benches, and instruments so they remain functional and meet manufacturer specifications.
- Track and support compliance with HSE and quality metrics, regional policies, and global functional programs.
- Assist the ARMO Manager with budget tracking, supplies, and expense management to keep workshop spending controlled and well documented.
- Contribute to Lean Six Sigma initiatives by identifying projects and actions that improve quality and operational performance.
- Deliver technical training and coaching on 6S practices so the plant sustains order, cleanliness, and visual standards at a high level.
- Act as a technical resource for assembly, repair, and maintenance challenges, helping teams troubleshoot issues and document practical solutions.
- Coordinate several projects at once across a global environment, balancing workshop needs with broader functional priorities.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Five or more years of experience in an ARMO environment.
- Good knowledge of assembly, repair, and maintenance techniques, including the use of workshop tools, benches, and instruments.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously in a global setting.
- Strong problem identification and problem-solving skills, with a practical approach to resolving technical and operational issues.
- Effective team player with clear communication skills and fluency in English.
- Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate across functions to resolve situations.
