AI Operations Specialist

GitLab is seeking an AI Operations Specialist to support the smooth operation, adoption, and management of AI tools across its field organization. This remote role is ideal for an organized and detail-focused professional who is interested in AI technologies and enjoys improving processes, managing operational workflows, and supporting teams through technology adoption.

The successful candidate will maintain AI tool inventories, manage access requests, track usage trends, organize AI-related data, and support enablement initiatives. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to GitLab’s AI transformation efforts while collaborating with enablement, IT, and business teams in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain an accurate inventory of AI tools used across the organization and identify opportunities for consolidation.

• Develop and manage a library of AI use cases based on business needs and field requirements.

• Track AI tool adoption, utilization trends, and performance through reporting and dashboards.

• Identify underutilized tools and provide insights to relevant stakeholders.

• Create internal communications and support AI enablement programs for employees.

• Manage AI tool access requests and ensure timely provisioning according to licensing requirements.

• Maintain data quality and organization for information used by AI tools and datasets.

• Collaborate with IT, enablement, and business teams to resolve access and data-related issues.

• Support continuous improvement of AI operational processes and workflows.

Requirements:

• Experience in enablement, sales operations, business operations, IT operations, or a similar coordination-focused role.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tools, requests, and datasets.

• Interest in AI tools, platforms, and emerging technologies.

• Ability to understand basic AI tool configuration, access management, and operational processes.

• Comfortable working with structured workflows, tracking systems, and reporting dashboards.

• Basic experience working with spreadsheets, data tools, or utilization tracking systems.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a remote, asynchronous environment.
