Role Overview
You will be the driving force behind our client’s after-sales revenue stream, identifying and closing opportunities for spare parts, servicing packages, and truck body refurbishment across Nairobi and Bungoma. Day to day, you will prospect fleet owners, logistics companies, and government bodies, then coordinate with the Parts, Service, and Body-Building workshops to ensure those clients receive their orders on time. Your work matters because repeat business from maintenance contracts and refurbishment projects forms a large and steady portion of the company’s income, so your ability to nurture long-term client relationships directly affects the bottom line.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute promotional campaigns that drive demand for spare parts, mechanical servicing, and custom truck body construction.
- Prospect private enterprises, transport firms, and public sector organisations to secure maintenance and parts supply agreements.
- Identify regional and cross-border buyers interested in new vehicle purchases, refurbishment programmes, or bespoke body-building work.
- Present after-sales service packages to target clients, negotiating terms that meet monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Liaise with the Parts, Service, and Body-Building teams to confirm that client jobs are booked, resourced, and completed to schedule.
- Monitor transaction progress and delivery dates, proactively resolving issues that could delay the dispatch of parts or completion of servicing.
- Respond to client queries by phone, email, and digital channels about service schedules, parts availability, and recommended maintenance.
- Carry out local market research on fleet trends, competitor pricing, and emerging service opportunities, feeding findings into weekly performance and forecast reports.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, Automotive Management, or a closely related discipline.
- A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in after-sales marketing, commercial sales, or account management, ideally within automotive, heavy equipment, or transport.
- A proven record of generating leads, pitching contracts, and holding onto existing clients over time.
- Strong presentation, persuasion, and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to deal at fleet manager and procurement level.
- Practical understanding of motor vehicles, spare parts, servicing intervals, and truck body fabrication processes.
- Self-motivated and resilient under target-driven performance quotas, comfortable working in the field and in an office environment.
