Role Overview
This is a hands-on logistics role based in Sharjah, where you will coordinate the movement of goods across sea, air, and road to meet tight delivery deadlines for Fast Logistics. Your daily focus will be on tracking shipments, resolving transit delays, and ensuring all documentation aligns with UAE customs regulations. The work matters directly to the company’s reputation for reliable, time-sensitive freight forwarding in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor inbound and outbound shipments from origin to final delivery, updating internal tracking systems in real time.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents—including bills of lading, airway bills, and commercial invoices—for accuracy and compliance.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and warehouse teams to optimise loading schedules and reduce turnaround time.
- Resolve shipment discrepancies or delays by communicating directly with clients and transport partners.
- Coordinate with customs brokers to clear goods efficiently and avoid penalty fees.
- Maintain inventory records for in-transit cargo and flag any shortages or damages immediately.
- Generate daily performance reports on delivery status, cost variances, and operational bottlenecks.
- Support the logistics manager in evaluating carrier performance and suggesting route improvements.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics coordination, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations, preferably in a UAE-based role.
- Strong knowledge of shipping documentation (bill of lading, packing list, certificate of origin) and UAE customs procedures.
- Proficiency in logistics software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or CargoWise) and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to multitask under pressure and communicate clearly in English (Arabic is a plus).
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
- UAE driving license is advantageous but not mandatory.
