Anchorage Shipping Line is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Accountant to join its finance team in Dubai. This full-time, onsite opportunity is ideal for accounting professionals with experience in the shipping or logistics industry, particularly within NVOCC or Main Line operations.
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable functions, preparing Statement of Accounts (SOA), processing invoices, maintaining financial records, and performing account reconciliations. Applicants must currently be residing in Dubai, UAE.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and maintain Statement of Accounts (SOA) accurately and on time.
• Manage Accounts Payable processes, including invoice verification and payment processing.
• Handle Accounts Receivable activities, invoicing, and customer payment follow-ups.
• Maintain general ledger records and ensure accurate financial documentation.
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Monitor outstanding balances and support timely collections.
• Assist with daily accounting operations and financial reporting activities.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience with NVOCC or Main Line operations.
• Hands-on experience preparing Statement of Accounts (SOA) and managing Accounts Payable.
• Strong experience in Accounts Receivable, invoicing, and payment follow-ups.
• Good understanding of general accounting principles and ledger maintenance.
• Experience performing financial reconciliations with accuracy.
• Candidates must currently be residing in Dubai, UAE.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Statement of Accounts (SOA).
• General Ledger Management, Financial Reconciliations, and Invoicing.
• Shipping Industry Accounting and Payment Follow-up Procedures.
