Job Description
About the Role
We are looking for an accountant who is comfortable working with modern technology and continuously improving processes through AI. This is an opportunity to manage company accounting, cash flow, reporting, and financial controls while helping build efficient AI-powered financial processes in a fast-growing car rental business.
Responsibilities
- Maintain daily bookkeeping and accounting records
- Reconcile bank accounts, POS transactions, payment gateways, and cash collections
- Track vehicle revenue, expenses, fines, Salik, maintenance, and fleet-related costs
- Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Issue invoices and follow up on overdue client payments
- Coordinate payroll processing and staff expense reimbursements
- Prepare VAT returns and maintain compliance with UAE regulations
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Use AI tools to prepare reports, analyze data, review documents, and improve productivity
- Build and maintain AI-driven workflows to automate repetitive accounting tasks
- Identify opportunities to improve financial visibility and operational efficiency
Requirements
Must have
- 3+ years accounting experience in UAE
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT requirements
- Experience with accounting software (Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
- Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills
- Confident user of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar platforms
- Ability to use AI for reporting, research, process improvement, and workflow automation
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
- Good English communication skills
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
Nice to have
- Experience in car rental, automotive, or fleet businesses
- Knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax requirements
- Experience with automation platforms such as Zapier, Make, or similar tools
- Arabic or Russian language skills
- Experience working in a fast-growing company
