Accountant

Job Title: Financial Manager – Leasing, Banking & Insurance

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced finance professional to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support strategic financial decision-making. This role requires deep knowledge of vehicle leasing, banking relationships, and insurance processes within the Kenyan market.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Ensure timely bank reconciliations and proper documentation of all transactions.
• Ensure compliance with Kenyan tax regulations, including VAT, PAYE, and corporate tax filings.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support audit processes.
• Work closely with finance and operations teams to support business decision-making.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation for financial and statutory records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
• 3–5 years of experience in financial management, with specific experience in leasing, banking, and insurance.
• Strong understanding of vehicle leasing models, financial reporting, and credit risk analysis.
• Proven experience in managing banking relationships and negotiating with financial institutions.
• Excellent knowledge of insurance processes and the ability to negotiate with insurance providers.
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of Kenyan financial regulations and leasing laws.
